FAQs
How does it work?
The CO2 laser sends short pulses of high-energy into the skin, which vaporizes the water in the damaged skin cells. This removes the surface layer while heating the dermis underneath to stimulate the growth of new collagen fibers.
How long is the downtime?
After treatment, most clients experience mild scabbing that subsides in 3-7 days on average.
However, this process is what leads to the most dramatic skin transformations.
Unlike more invasive procedures, there’s no need to take days off work or limit activities. Patients are usually free to return to their normal routines immediately after their treatment.
Showering, washing face, makeup & outdoor activities under the sun with sunscreen from the treatment day are possible.
How many sessions are needed?
The number of sessions needed varies based on the depth of the skin issues, individual skin conditions and desired results. Usually, 5-6 sessions are recommended for the best outcomes, spaced 2-4 weeks apart.
How long does it take to see results?
Even after the first session you can see the initial results of the bumps getting much flatter.
What should I expect during the treatment?
You may feel a warm, prickly sensation.
What to avoid before the treatment?
Clients are asked to COMPLETELY REMOVE makeup/sunscreen/moisturizer/lotion/essence/serum etc. before each clinic visit.
What are the do's and don'ts after the treatment?
Do’s
Please apply an ice pack for a few minutes as often as possible on the treatment day. Apply and apply sunscreen properly during the treatment period.
Don’ts
You’d better not to use any cosmetics containing alcohol and exfoliating agents etc. to avoid any potential irritation. But, the specific ingredients depend on the skin issues, subtypes and the laser parameters used. So please follow the each post-laser care intruction after the sessions.
